Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Industrial Hygiene Technologist to join our team in Calgary. This role involves monitoring and assessing occupational exposures to various hazards including chemicals, gases, dusts, fibres, noise and radiation. You will also conduct mould, indoor air quality and HAZMAT assessments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial hygiene, with a preference for experience in the oil and gas industry. Training will be provided to the right individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring & Calibration: Prepare, calibrate, and maintain monitoring equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide timely updates on project progress.
- Field Work: Conduct monitoring on site and record observations to help assess the results obtained.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Flexibility: Travel to various sites across Western Canada (50-75% of the time) depending on project requirements.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as needed to support project goals and client needs.

Education & Experience:
- Experience: Previous experience in industrial hygiene and the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Education: Technology diploma or certificate in industrial hygiene, environmental technology, occupational health, public health, chemical technology, instrumentation technology, or safety.
- Additional Assets: HAZMAT experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Equivalent qualifications will be considered.
